Our river fly fishing breaks and courses take place on a great selection of local watercourses, including our private section of the River Eden in the beautiful Eden Valley. There is no better way to enjoy Cumbria then to spend a tranquil day’s fishing catching wild grayling and trout surrounded by the natural flora and fauna of our untouched waters.
The King’s Arms in Temple Sowerby is centrally located for easy access to fishing on the River Eden and that is just the first of the many fishing possibilities in this area. Their basic fishing package comprises of bed and breakfast at the hotel accompanied by a permit for access to The Kings Arms very own private and exclusive fishing on the River Eden.
The hotel will provide you with a map detailing all of the water available to guests. Fishermen opting for this package will need to bring their own fishing rod, line, tackle, rod licence and any gear (such as waders) that they may require to fish. The hotel has a rod and tackle storage room as well as a drying room for wet gear at the end of each day. They are also able to provide a packed lunch for a small additional charge to any guest.
